A Material is an item for customizing masks in PAYDAY 2. If a material is used on a mask, then it will be removed from the inventory unless it is unlocked by default, in which case it can be used any number of times. A material that is not unlocked by default can only be obtained from card drops.

Materials

  • Blue items are unlocked by default.
  • Yellow items are from a DLC.
  • Orange items are from a special event.
  • Fuchsia items are "Infamous" (rare) items.

Default

Materials unlocked by default. They cannot be sold or unlocked via card drops.

Normal

Normal materials are unlocked via card drops.

Infamous

Rare materials are unlocked via card drops. Infamous items have a 0.7% base chance of dropping, sans the Archnemesis mask and the Oliver mask, which use the Bronze material by default.

Infamy Reward

These are rewards from the Infamy skill tree. These materials cannot drop during a payday and are free to craft, therefore cannot be sold, they are returned to your stash instead.

Armored Transport DLC

Requires the "Armored Transport" DLC. Once you have bought the DLC, you will unlock 1 of the four materials in your inventory and will now be able to obtain them via card drops.

Gage Weapon Pack #01 DLC

Requires the "Gage Weapon Pack #01" DLC. Once you have brought the DLC, you will unlock 1 of the four materials in your inventory and will now be able to obtain them via card drops.

Gage Weapon Pack #02 DLC

Requires the "Gage Weapon Pack #02" DLC. Once you have brought the DLC, you will unlock 1 of the four materials in your inventory and will now be able to obtain them via card drops.

Poetry Jam DLC

All these materials will be available for free for anyone who owns the PAYDAY 2 Official Soundtrack on steam or pre-ordered the Career Criminal Edition! These materials cannot drop during a payday and are free to craft, therefore cannot be sold, they are returned to your stash instead.

Gage Sniper Pack DLC

Requires the "Gage Sniper Pack" DLC. Once you have bought the DLC you can unlock these by completing certain achievements. These materials cannot drop during a payday and are free to craft, therefore cannot be sold, they are returned to your stash instead.

The Big Bank Heist DLC

Requires the "The Big Bank Heist" DLC. Once you have bought the DLC you can unlock these by completing certain achievements. These materials cannot drop during a payday and are free to craft, therefore cannot be sold, they are returned to your stash instead.

Gage Shotgun Pack DLC

Requires the "Gage Shotgun Pack" DLC. Once you have bought the DLC you can unlock these by completing certain achievements. These materials cannot drop during a payday and are free to craft, therefore cannot be sold, they are returned to your stash instead.

Gage Assault Pack DLC

Requires the "Gage Assault Pack" DLC. Once you have bought the DLC you can unlock these by completing certain achievements. These materials cannot drop during a payday and are free to craft, therefore cannot be sold, they are returned to your stash instead.

Hotline Miami DLC

Requires the "Hotline Miami" DLC. Once you have bought the DLC you can unlock these by completing certain achievements. These materials cannot drop during a payday and are free to craft, therefore cannot be sold, they are returned to your stash instead.

Hotline Miami (Game)

All these materials will be available for free for anyone who owns the game "Hotline Miami". These materials cannot drop during a payday and are free to craft, therefore cannot be sold, they are returned to your stash instead.

Gage Historical Pack DLC

Requires the "Gage Historical Pack" DLC. Once you have bought the DLC you can unlock these by completing certain achievements. These materials cannot drop during a payday and are free to craft, therefore cannot be sold, they are returned to your stash instead.

The Diamond Heist DLC

Requires the "The Diamond Heist" DLC. Once you have bought the DLC you can unlock these by completing certain achievements. These materials cannot drop during a payday and are free to craft, therefore cannot be sold, they are returned to your stash instead.

The Bomb Heists DLC

Requires the "The Bomb Heists" DLC. Once you have bought the DLC you can unlock these by completing certain achievements. These materials cannot drop during a payday and are free to craft, therefore cannot be sold, they are returned to your stash instead.

The Butcher's AK/CAR Mod Pack DLC

Requires "The Butcher's AK/CAR Mod Pack" DLC. Once you have bought the DLC you can unlock these by completing certain achievements. These materials cannot drop during a payday and are free to craft, therefore cannot be sold, they are returned to your stash instead.

The Butcher's BBQ Pack DLC

Requires "The Butcher's BBQ Pack" DLC. These materials are an achievement reward. They can't drop during a PAYDAY and they can't be sold. Instead, they can be returned to your inventory stash for free, but any customization and the fee to put that together will be lost.

The Butcher's Western Pack DLC

Requires "The Butcher's Western Pack" DLC. These materials are an achievement reward. They can't drop during a PAYDAY and they can't be sold. Instead, they can be returned to your inventory stash for free, but any customization and the fee to put that together will be lost.


The Alesso Heist DLC

Requires "The Alesso Heist" DLC. These materials are an achievement reward. They can't drop during a PAYDAY and they can't be sold. Instead, they can be returned to your inventory stash for free, but any customization and the fee to put that together will be lost.

The Golden Grin Casino Heist DLC

The Point Break Heists DLC

The Goat Simulator Heist DLC

John Wick Weapon Pack

Requires "John Wick Weapon Pack" DLC. Once you have bought the DLC you can unlock these by completing certain achievements. These materials cannot drop during a payday and are free to craft, therefore cannot be sold, they are returned to your stash instead.

Gage Spec Ops Pack

Requires "Gage Spec Ops Pack" DLC. Once you have bought the DLC you can unlock these by completing Gage Spec Ops Missions. These materials cannot drop during a payday and are free to craft, therefore cannot be sold, they are returned to your stash instead.

Scarface Heist Pack

Requires "Scarface Heist" DLC. Once you have bought the DLC you can unlock these by completing achievements. These materials cannot drop during a payday and are free to craft, therefore cannot be sold, they are returned to your stash instead.

John Wick Heist Pack

Gage Russian Weapon Pack

Antisphere

Cannot currently be aquired ingame. Supposed to require the game Antisphere bought on Steam.
