The Gage Shotgun Pack is the seventh paid DLC pack for PAYDAY 2. It contains three new shotguns, four new masks (plus materials and patterns), four new melee weapons, and new shotgun ammo types.

Customization options[]

These masks, materials, and patterns are achievement rewards. They can't drop during a PAYDAY and cannot be sold. Instead, they can be returned to your mask stash for free, but any non-achievement or Infamy reward pattern, color, or material as well as the customization fee to put these together will be lost.

"Any career criminal worth his rap sheet will tell you that it is all about first impressions, and there's only one chance to make that first impression. You want everyone to take you seriously, and you want them to realize that you are one very crazy, very dangerous bank robber.

And there is nothing, I repeat, NOTHING, that says "I am serious" like a big shotgun in the hands of giant monkey.(sic) See for yourself.
"
—Announcement site quote.

  • The masks introduced with this DLC are references to famous action movie stars and characters, with a touch of "monkey-ness".
    • Clint is an obvious reference to actor Clint Eastwood. This could also be a reference to the Gorillaz song named after the same person, as it features large monkey-like creatures.
    • John is a reference to Bruce Willis's character John McClane from the Die Hard Series. It's description even used a quote from McClane's Wikipedia page.
    • Rutger is a reference to Rutger Hauer who starred a film called "Hobo with a Shotgun" which was mentioned in the description.
    • Steven is a reference to Steven Seagal who starred in the film Under Siege, in which Seagal played as a chef of the military vessel USS Missouri.

Weapons[]

"Finally! I love this part of the reveal - the actual shotguns. The thing with shotguns is that they are so versatile: You can have power and performance, you can modify their size, there's all sorts of versatile ammunition (which we'll go into more later), and they're easy to operate and maintain. Let me show you what I've got for you."
—Announcement site quote.

"A melee is what happens when all else has gone to shit.

It's just you and the enemy in close combat, chaos all around you. You grab what you can and you throw it at each other, wrestling and yelling, throwing punches that hit empty air.

Knowing you, this is most likely how you use the fine knives that I've given to you in the past. Well no more. I'm going to give you something you can't miss with even if you tried.
"
—Announcement site quote.

Weapon Modifications[]

Aside from the default buckshot, each shotgun can now use one of four new ammunition types:

Of the new ammo types, users without the Shotgun Pack can use either the default ammo, or install 000 Buckshot on only two of their shotguns. Users who own the Shotgun Pack can install any of the four new ammo types on as many of their shotguns as they like, as many times as they want; the types are merely marked as 'AVAILABLE'.

Achievements[]

"Achievements: you can't live with them and you can't live without them. Everyone wants everything to be gamified today; anything from buying stuff giving you points to Security agents learning their dirty trade using achievements.

Well, if they can do it so can we. I put word out on Crime.net and this is what came back. Here's some god damn achievements for you.
"

  • Every Day I'm Shovellin' may be a reference to the line "Every day I'm hustlin'" from the Rick Ross song "Hustlin'". Alternatively, it may be a reference to the line "Every day I'm shufflin'" from the LMFAO song "Party Rock Anthem" in a direct samplefrom Hustlin'.
  • No Heist for Old Men is a reference to No Country for Old Men, a 2007 movie based on Cormac McCarthy's novel of the same name. In this movie, the antagonist is a crazed killer who uses a shotgun with a huge suppressor, similar in appearance to the Locomotive 12G.
