This isn't really a bikers first choice of weapon. But as the OVERKILL MC, by accident, got a hold of some. They stuck with it. After a tip came in about a truck carrying Televisions, they thought they could earn some extra cash. But upon pulling it over, they found it packed with the SMG CR 805B Bren instead. They didn’t ask questions, and as the driver was no more, they just kept the loot.
The CR 805B has incredibly high base damage for an SMG, on par with the Swedish K, Jackal, Tatonka and Krinkov. It also has an ample magazine size, and good accuracy. However, it severely lacks in both total ammo and stability. As a matter of fact, due to this high base damage and accuracy, but low ammo and stability, it is one of the few -- if not the only -- SMG where the single-fire mod is viable.
The only way to increase the CR 805B's rather average Concealment other than Boosts is via its two unique Barrel mods, which can raise it to reasonable values at the steep cost to Accuracy. While this wouldn't be so bad in a close-range stealth build, in a Dodge build it may interfere with long-range combat.
Although the main flashlight has a toggle switch, the laser sight component of the LED Combo is pressure-activated, meaning the laser will stay on as long as the pressure switch is depressed. This switch is not placed where it should be, however (on foregrips, magazine wells, etc...) and is instead ziptied to the main taclight, leaving no plausible mean for the user to toggle it without awkwardly moving their off hand off the weapon and gripping the attachment itself.
Upon release, the default reticle of this sight was a chevron instead of the retail version's red dot. After the release of the Gage Mod Courier DLC, it was reverted to the regular sight's red dot.
It is functionally the same as the standard Military Red Dot Sight, but the sight's casing is tan instead of black with the line "A-10" scrawled on near the adjustment knob. The sticker on the lens cap's interior also says "I <3 Payday" instead of having a picture of an American flag.
This sight was based on the Aimpoint CompM2 optic. While it is portrayed as a high-zoom scope in-game, the CompM2 is actually a reflex sight, meaning it offers no magnification in reality.
The CR 805B is based on the CZ 805 BREN A1, modified with a STANAG magazine well and Magpul MVG. Modifying it with the Short Barrel turns it into the CZ 805 BREN A2.
The CR 805B is surprisingly powerful compared to most other 5.56x45mm firearms in the game despite its intermediary caliber.
Like the Krinkov and Para, the CR 805B is classified as an SMG in the game despite its length. In fact, unless modified to become the CZ 805 BREN A2, the full length A1 model of the weapon outright qualifies as an assault rifle in reality.
The CR 805B's serial number is B493517.
The word BREN is appended to the end of the CR 805B on the announcement site. Unless the "B" in CR 805B is actually short for some unspecified weapon variant, the addition of BREN would make it repetitive and redundant.
