The Akimbo Crosskill Guard are a pair of pistols available as a primary weapon in PAYDAY 2. The Akimbo Crosskill Guard was added on the 7th day of the Locke and Load event.

OverviewEdit

Despite being a compact variant of the Crosskill and being chambered for the same .45 ACP round, the Crosskill Guard handles very differently, dealing considerably lower damage and (somewhat unrealistically) having a much larger magazine. The Akimbo Crosskill Guard statistically is a straight upgrade from the Akimbo Chimano 88 as it has identical statistics except for fire rate and accuracy.

Like all akimbo weapons, the Akimbo Crosskill Guard's ironsights are unusuable.

TriviaEdit

  • The Crosskill Guard is based on the Colt Defender, as evident by the "flat-faced" slide with a large, flush muzzle. This particular model is chambered in 9x19mm Parabellum, as noted by the vertical ridges along its magazine's body.
    • The pistol has an extended frame with an undermounting rail that protrudes past the slide on the Locke and Load event site. This is not featured on the release version unless a gadget is installed.
  • The magazine capacity of the Crosskill Guard in game is unrealistically high, holding 17 rounds without any present extended magazine while the real life counterpart's magazines only hold 8, up to a maximum of 9 with one round chambered.
